Contribute
Do you have an idea for improving the Sugar Community Edition? We encourage your feedback, and we are excited to take contributions that help advance Sugar Community Edition's quality and innovation. We provide two ways for you to contribute to the Sugar Open Source project:
- Use the Contribution Form below to submit code or a bug fix (please reference the bug number from the Bug Portal)
- Apply to be a Sugar Core Contributor, a limited program available to Sugar experts interested in extending core Sugar platform and features. Contact us to learn more about this program.
Contributors should consider the following guidelines for their code contributions. The closer your code adheres to these guidelines the more likely your contribution can be quickly accepted.
- Does the change require HTML modifications?
- Does the change require schema modifications?
- Do any schema modifications require data transformation, possibly requiring SQL or PHP scripts to perform the transformation?
- he proposed change must support all baseline-certified versions of PHP, and must be able to support all databases, etc.
- The proposed change cannot contain any 3rd party software unless that software is pre-approved by Sugar
- Does the change adversely affect the internalization/localization of the product?
- Is the change compatible with Offline Client?
- Are there any side-effects of the change requiring modifications to other modules? Particularly: imports, reports, ACLs, workflow, OC, OPI?
- The change must not affect backwards compatibility.
- Did you test your modification on all supported databases?

All contributions will be accepted under the terms of the SugarCRM Contribution Agreement.
