We have added some of the missing details in a second draft to the 5.5 Web Services documentation.

Head over to the forums to check it out and provide feedback.  We will be preparing over the next few weeks for a developer preview.  The preview will be similar to the community previews you are accustomed and will allow you to start kicking the wheels against a live isntance.
